Omen
Since the late 90's, Omen has been redefining the boundaries of graffiti with his singular style of painting, both on and off the streets. Using spray paint as his primary medium, he has been leading the aerosol movement towards a truce with the established art world. The artist works with a style he called aerolism, experimenting with as many medium as possible such as ink, spray paint, and many found objects and in the mean time, mastering shadow play. His art stands out by these singular pieces filled with portraits, skulls, and moody faces. And he is a self-taught artist.
After living 4 years in Asia, Omen has established himself yet again in Montreal. Having been exhibited internationally, his works have been seen as far as Taiwan, Australia and Canada and have been part of prestigious collections such as Le Cirque du Soleil, Galerie d’art Yves Laroche, Juming Museum (Taiwan), Red Bull and 33 MAG.
